Wagner verwendet Abbildungen aus Magazinen der 50er bis 70er Jahre, so dass die Bildfragmente fremd und aus einer eigentümlich zeitlichen Distanz heraus wirken. Dem ursprünglichen Kontext beraubt, überlagern sich historische und aktuelle Deutungsmöglichkeiten beim Betrachter. Aus Bildern des Kalten Krieges wird eine diffuse Terrorgefahr, aus Science Fiction bemannte Raumstationen, aus Eigenheim und Hochhaussiedlung der Stadtumbau.
